Just returned from a wonderful trip to Germany this last week. We were conducting an inspection for a state-of-the art photomask facility in the heart of Silicon Saxony. After our inspection we were able to take a side trip to the German watchmaking town of Glashutte. There we observed over 150 years of watchmaking tradition. It was interesting to see such Old World craftmanship combined with modern CNC manufacturing techniques. It is understandable to see how the Germans and Swiss developed their reputation for producing quality machines, as is used in many different industries today, with a history like that.
We concluded our Pro Printing/Cross Media printing and bindery equipment auction last week. We had bidders from all over the U.S. as well as India, Costa Rica, Latin America, Canada and Europe. Prices were reasonably good for the equipment considering the industry is still struggling.
Coming up on March 15 we will conducting an auction of Sixtron Advanced Materials in conjunction with CIACPCC and Upstream Value Group. This truly is a unique auction event with the opportunity for bidders to acquire very recent vintage equipment used in solar cell manufacturing. Stayed tuned as we will have more details on this sale soon.
